Robert Garrett Building Services Director

Robert spent 14 years working with M&E consultants designing services systems before moving into contracting in the early 1990s. His knowledge and experience in the design of building services has given him the ability to develop and improve the management, integration and delivery of building services throughout all stages of the construction process.
In his role as Building Services Director, Robert is involved from the outset with every Xircon project, directing the selection of the services contractors, approving the M&E programmes, through to the production of working drawings and handover documentation.
On-site, he facilitates regular meetings with the Design Team, Client and Contractors and assists the site team with all building services issues arising during the works. He is also responsible for the production of all Xircon operating and maintenance documentation on completion of the works, thus ensuring a standard approach to the production and format of the documentations across all Xircon contracts.
Customer Care is an important part of Xircon’s overall delivery process, and Robert has been instrumental in developing a defined ‘Aftercare’ procedure to ensure any issues arising after handover are captured and addressed in the appropriate manner.
As a Board Director, Robert heads up the Supply Chain Development Team and holds additional responsibilities for the delivery of all Xircon’s IT and training requirements throughout the company.
